School programs overview
Local Food Programs for Wisconsin Schools
Wisconsin Food Hub Cooperative connects K–12 schools and early childhood programs with food from Wisconsin farms. One relationship gives school nutrition teams access to local sourcing, aggregation, refrigerated delivery, seasonal promotions, and hands-on ordering support.
Start with the service that meets today’s need, then grow your local purchasing program over time. WFHC can help your team select products, choose an ordering route, plan a seasonal feature, or explore a school meal concept.
Wisconsin Harvest of the Month
September’s Harvest: Winter Squash
Bring a featured Wisconsin-grown food into school meals, taste tests, and classroom activities each month. This September, meet winter squash from Turners Fresh Market in Waupaca.
Fresh from the farm to your menu
Choose Delicata, Acorn, or Butternut squash for a seasonal side, a student taste test, or a lesson about the local farm behind the food.
